Noosa North Shore Wedding ~ Fun Festival!
This is a classic love story between a passionate, loud and fiery Brazilian and a cool and calm country boy…
…and it began with a bright blue shirt, a red feather earring and a few drinks for Dutch courage!
Kerol was simply stunning, glowing with smooth confidence and a dazzling smile and Ben just couldn’t take his eyes off her. He’d been trying to find the courage to speak her all night, but just couldn’t get his legs to walk up to the bar. Thankfully, he had a wing man who felt compelled to give his mate a fair go by approaching the Brazilian beauty serving drinks behind the bar and letting her know that a handsome bloke might try to strike conversation with her.
Cool as a cucumber, Kerol kept serving drinks, curious to see who this stranger might be. She knew exactly who Ben was the moment she saw him. He sat patiently at the end of the bar for most of the evening, smooth like James Bond. His bright eyes captivated her instantly and she found herself spellbound by his striking good looks.
With every chance she had, Kerol happily chatted with him throughout the night. When the lights came on at closing time, Ben boldly asked for Kerol’s number, but she politely said no. Not one to give up, he asked if she would take his number instead to which Kerol gladly agreed.
And then he realised he needed paper and a pen to write his number down! Smiling to herself while Ben frantically asked everyone for a napkin and a pen, he finally found one and shared his number. Later that evening, Ben received a simple text which said “Hello”. He responded straight away and a great love story began!
Their Noosa North Shore wedding was literally a festival!
Luxurious lounges, plush rugs and character rich furniture and décor set the scene for their fun, boho luxe wedding day.
It was fun to dress up in one of my favourite boho style long dresses to compliment the décor and burnt orange colour scheme which Kerol had carefully chosen for her big day.
The entire bridal party, family and most friends booked exclusive cabins at Beach Road Holiday Homes and this created a party atmosphere from the outset, beginning with our fun rehearsal the evening before their wedding day.
To add even more joviality, Pop and Pour showcased their pretty pint vintage bar with a grand display of cocktails on offer, complete with a mirror so the ladies could do a quick check throughout the day and well into the evening while serving themselves a delicious cocktail.
The talented sisters from Maleny’s Willow Wood Hire added the perfect sustainable touch with their boho ceremony arbour, rugs and benches with a beautiful vintage desk and chairs for the signing. All these unique pieces came together to create the ultimate bush boho setting for Kerol and Ben’s vision of a relaxed but highly emotional wedding ceremony, suiting their personalities perfectly.
I was inspired by their contrasting personalities to write a ceremony which honoured both the fiery and the calm between them.
A simple yet meaningful ceremony which touched on the warmth of Ben’s farming boy background and incorporated the passion of Kerol’s animated upbringing.
Kerol was beyond excited to have her beloved, rowdy and wild family over from America to celebrate in style with them all.
Poor Kerol forgot her bouquet, so our ceremony was delayed for a short time while someone scooted back to her cabin on a golf buggy to find it. But all was well, as we grabbed the spare few minutes to take a few more quick photos and touch up makeup, as well as take a few more deep breaths!
But my favourite moment was when Ben arrived early with his Best Man, grabbed a beer and chilled out by playing a few amusing rounds of Connect 4, as you do before getting married!
