Magical Wedding Ceremony at Tiffany's Maleny

The white chapel at Tiffany’s Maleny kept us all warm and cosy while Alysha and Matt shared their lifelong promises with each other and smiled till their cheeks hurt during their romantic and elegant wedding ceremony.

The sky was dark and heavy as I arrived at the Chapel perched high within the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.  The heavens opened up shortly after I scrambled inside to set up my equipment.

However, nothing could dampen the anticipation for the upcoming delight and romance for us all as we enthusiastically huddled inside and waited for Alysha to grace us with her timeless glamour.

Cleverly, Alysha and Matt arranged a bus charter for all of their guests so that they could arrive together.  Umbrella’s were in abundance too keeping guests happy and cheerful as they giggled their way into the chapel.

Rain, hail or shine, these two were going to get married, no matter what!

Tiffany’s Maleny is chosen for many reasons; it’s eternal class, charm and old school glamour.  Impeccable uninterrupted views of the coast can be viewed directly from one’s pew as a guest during a wedding ceremony within the chic chapel.

This is why Matt and Alysha chose the beautiful chapel however the weather Gods had other ideas that day.  The windows were clouded with frost and the thick skies literally blocked our visibility of the coast!  My heart sank for our lovebirds as I’m sure their grand ceremony vision was of blue skies and an endless outlook over the rolling mountains and coastline of our Sunshine Coast Hinterland landscape.

It was soon clear to us all that absolutely nothing would stand in the way of the happiness and excitement that these two exude.  Their love for each other radiated even while the skies were dreary!

This classic love story began when a guy wearing a top-notch suit walked past Alysha and her friends with his mates just outside the Heritage night club in Townsville to catch their undivided attention.  The ladies just couldn’t help themselves…a few cheeky cat calls and loud whistles and before they knew it, they were chatting up a storm with the guy in the sexy suit and his friends.

But it wasn’t the guy in the sexy suit that caught Alysha’s eye.  It was Matt, who was casually dressed and cool as a cucumber.  Their fun conversation flowed naturally, and they were especially delighted to discover that they lived in the same unit complex!

Matt was a city boy who adored his Ford V6 Turbo, and he was smitten the moment he saw beautiful Alysha.  He just had to see her again, so he asked for her number and they planned to have breakfast together the next morning.

Fairy tale wedding venue for this fairy tale story!

However, our lovebirds didn’t see each other the following morning, thanks to their mighty hangovers and a desperate need to sleep in to recover from such a great night!

So, they rescheduled however, poor Alysha had to postpone again due to her “chipmunk face” after a fun date with her Dentist!

Eventually, they met for a nice pub meal at Watermark and then took a drive-up Mount Stuart.  It was a freezing evening and good old Matt completely missed the memo about how to woo a lady properly when it’s cold!  Alysha had to give him hints about putting his arm around her by shivering violently…he was completely oblivious!

Happy tears for this blushing beauty while she shared her lifelong promises…

For five years now, our happy couple have been living, laughing and adventuring together.  They love nothing more than to make each other laugh, especially when Alysha scares the life out of Matt by jumping out at him from behind doors and dark spaces while filming or Matt is tricking Alysha into eating playdough.

Their romantic journey has taken them on many adventures, of both geographic and emotional nature.  They share a great love of travel and have soaked up the colour and culture from every place they have visited, especially beautiful locations like Rome, the French Alps and Paris where they both knew they were in love and officially became a couple while eating snails together.

This pair of cuties admitted to me that they are the poster couple for "opposites attract".  Whilst Alysha loves whipping up a delicious cake at any hour of the day, Matt would rather be on the golf course and will avoid the kitchen if he can.

Matt is messy, a tad stressful, always early and could easily spend hours watching golf videos, whereas Alysha is a neat freak, very cool, calm and collected, nearly always late and could spend hours listening to country music!

This was a heart-felt ceremony with closest family and friends in attendance.  Alysha and Matt’s beautiful Mums were so proud to pass the vows booklets to their children, giving them a huge hug and warm kiss on the cheek to express their motherly love.

My favourite moment by far was when they all huddled together in the car park for their group photo, in the rain, with Matt front and centre, doing his best to smoothly pop the cork from a champagne bottle.  It took him a while and with a few heckles from his guests, he got there eventually!

When Alysha showed me her beautiful wedding photos, I wasn’t at all surprised to see a sequence of photos showing the ecstatic newlyweds dancing up a storm within a rainstorm next to the iconic One Tree Hill.  They are a sincerely beautiful couple, oozing with warmth, fun and friendliness!

We are so incredibly lucky to have found Stacey to be our Sunshine Coast Marriage Celebrant. Stacey is the kindest most caring person you will meet. She helped us every step of the way when it came to organising our wedding ceremony and even writing our vows. Stacey took the time to get to know both of us and created a ceremony that was unique and special to us. We had so many compliments about how beautiful our ceremony was and that was all thanks to Stacey. We cannot thank you enough and are truly blessed and grateful to have you marry us.
